Air conditioners involve pressurised refrigerant, high-voltage electrical components, and moving parts. Faults related to gas pressure, compressor failure, PCB damage, or wiring should be diagnosed and repaired only by a qualified HVAC technician or electrician.

Short-circuit / electrical hazard warning: if an error code is accompanied by a burning smell, sparking, a tripped circuit breaker, or a scorched plug or wire, do not touch the unit or its switch. Turn off power at the main distribution board (not just the remote), keep the area clear, and call a licensed electrician or authorised service centre. Gas leakage / refrigerant safety warning: codes describing low pressure, refrigerant shortage, or gas leakage (for example Daikin’s U0, Voltas’ F0, or similar) can indicate a refrigerant leak. Refrigerant gas should only be handled, tested, or topped up by a certified technician with the correct recovery and charging equipment. Do not attempt to open refrigerant lines yourself. If you smell a strong chemical odour or hear hissing from the unit, switch it off, ventilate the room, and contact a professional promptly.
Service-related error codes: a number of codes on this site — PCB/EEPROM faults, compressor overcurrent, sensor failures, high/low pressure trips — are flagged in the tables as needing a technician rather than a self-fix. Treat that flag as a hard boundary, not a suggestion: these faults sit behind sealed or high-voltage components, and DIY attempts can void warranty, damage the unit further, or cause injury.
